    Best restaurant in Louisiana. Nothing is even close. Friendly, easy-going, delicious, refreshing, inexpensive and comfortable. Thanks Maria and Marcello for making Jalapenos a little slice of heaven on earth! Hasta la vista!

    We decided to try the Sunday buffet. The food was pretty good. The service was awful. Every time we needed something we had to go to the front room and ask the waitress who was watching YouTube or something on her phone. We arrived at 1:00 pm with a party of 6 and immediately cleared out some buffet items (again, delicious, but not many items). After they hadn't replaced them we later asked when more were coming out. They said no more food was coming out because the buffet was only open until 2:30. It wasn't even 2 yet but the items had been out since 1. We have had a hard time finding good Mexican food around here and would've been their best regular customers but the service was just so bad we're never going back.
